Open account setupChoose who you’re writing as.
An Ego is a saved editorial identity: the voice, audience, perspective, accepted knowledge, and instructions that guide your articles. It carries that context from one assignment to the next, so you do not have to re-explain who you are writing as every time.
Start with one identity: your own perspective, your business’s voice, or a publication’s editorial approach. An Ego is not another login or team seat. Your organization can manage several identities, with separate direction for each.
- Describe who you’re writing for and what they need.
- Explain the perspective and experience behind the voice.
- Set boundaries: what to cover, avoid, or treat carefully.
When adding knowledge, review proposed material before accepting it. Only include information you have permission to use.
An active Ego is an editorial identity that is not paused. Your plan limits how many Egos can be active at once; paused Egos do not count toward that limit. This is separate from your monthly article allowance and the number of people in your workspace.
Write a focused assignment.
Choose a question you can help your audience understand. Explain what the article should do and which angle matters.
The reader, the problem, your position, useful public sources, and the result you want the reader to take away. Start with a decision, a customer question, or a lesson from your work. If you already have written interview notes, use the relevant material to shape your brief.
Follow the article’s preparation status in your workspace. If a job needs attention, use the available recovery action or contact support with the article details.
Read the claims, not just the prose.
Open the prepared draft and review its sources. Check that the evidence supports the claims, the point of view is yours, and the piece is useful to its intended reader.
- Edit the article where your expertise adds precision.
- Request a revision with specific instructions.
- Check the revised version before approval.
Review is especially important for current events, technical claims, quotations, and consequential advice.
Connect the destination.
Use publication settings to connect a supported Ghost or WordPress site. Complete the connection check and review the destination before publishing.
WordPress published-update support requires the AuthorEgo companion and a successful capability check. Follow the setup instructions shown in the application.
Ghost newsletter delivery requires a separate review of the content, newsletter, and recipients. LinkedIn and X expressions are exported for you to post separately.
Check the recorded delivery state after publishing. If the outcome is uncertain, use the recovery action provided rather than creating a duplicate post.
